“Ideas are to objects, as constellations are to stars”
Walter Benjamin
This is an ongoing, ever-shifting and growing group of images. My hand first draws from a reference, translating it. I experience the image, absorbing it. The paintings and drawings are then hung together, overlapping, sharing space. Closeness creates a web of connections. Associations emerge and dissolve. When reorganized, the images find alternative correlations, new emphases, and a different interpretation. In a culture of scrolling imagery, we are continually contending with fragments and pieces of three-second content. How do we piece it back together? The order in which we see imagery builds a story, an interpretation. The way in which we perceive things constructs our understanding of reality.
